1st Saturday in June each year
Picnic in the Park - 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
An old fashioned pageant, parade and picnic in the park in historic downtown Courland. Children's Parade (no entry fee) begins at 10:30 a.m. with decorated strollers, wagons, tricycles, bicycles and schooters -- no gasoline engines allowed. Miss Cotton Pageant begins at 1 p.m. (no entry fee). Participants are judged on poise, personality and presentation and will compete for cash prizes. Categories for ages 3-6, 7-12 and 13-17. Also on tap will be various types of entertainment, a host of concessions, and vendors offering arts & crafts (arts & crafts booths are available at no charge to vendors).
